The
Furby legacy continues. These adoring balls of fur have come from being
the most desired and fought after toy to being banned from the NSA offices
for potential harboring of national secrets.
History:
October, 1998 - Lines wrapped around the huge toy store of FAO
Schwartz in New York City during Furby's U.S. debut. Sold out immediately,
FAO Schwartz stopped guaranteeing Christmas delivery. Quickly this rage went
nation wide and ''collectible'' Furbys started hitting the $500 range.
After Christmas rush calmed down and Furby prices leveled out. It is still hard
to find and a few styles have enter the highly collectible market status.
