For Children
Children always enjoy having their own miniature Christmas tree in their bedrooms. Fresh or artificial does not matter,  its the idea that it is their tree. Select large plastic ornaments and very safe or bright color ribbons instead of lights. If children are under the age of 4 be careful of any small parts.

When decorating your family tree move all the fragile or any ornament with small parts above reach of small children. This also is good if you have a big dog with a long tail.

Many families exchange ornaments as holiday gifts. This can be a very fun holiday tradition and helps build a child's heirloom collection of ornaments for decades of seasons ahead. If appropriate, would recommend you date and initial the ornaments for future reference.

Vintage Christmas Ornaments are hot collectibles. So handle and store your ornaments carefully they are well worth preserving for sentimental as well as decorative - historical antiques. If you find your grandmothers angel is now worth a small fortune, but you would never part with it, you may want to include your antique Christmas ornaments in your insurance policy.

Build a scrap book of your Christmas Trees over time. Christmas can be one of the happiest memories for children and a book they can return to will offer many happy memories and document Christmas year to year.
